PostPosted: Fri 21:33, 25 Mar 2011    Post subject: Personal Injury Claims Are A Pain

While the initial pain of an injury that wasn't your fault is difficult to accept, something that is equally unpleasant is the pain of having to deal with all of the work that goes along with making injury claims. The process is nowhere near as simple as the adverts make out.
In fact the process is an extremely long-winded and frustrating experience that can seriously test the patience of the claimant involved. Something as simple as common traffic accident claims can be held up to the point where they take around a year to get settled. That's even if the case doesn't go to court. If the case can't be settled and does eventually get heard by a judge, expect to wait even longer to get closure on your compensation claim. Despite the length of time that a claim can drag on for, it is ultimately worth it if you get the compensation that you deserve,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which you probably will seeing as most claims these days are no win no fee claims.
What Can I Claim For?
The main situations where people can make a claim are:
* Traffic Accidents.
* Work Accidents.
* Slips, Trips and Falls.
* Product Liability.
There are many, many more situations where a claim can be made and it is simple to find out whether you have grounds for a claim or not. In a matter of minutes on the phone to one of these no win no fee solicitors you can find out whether or not you can take your claim further. Because of the no win no fee rule, solicitors will often know whether or not they can win a case and will be unlikely to take on a case if they don't think they can win it.
Why Does It Take So Long?
Unfortunately for claimants, the whole process of making a compensation claim can take a very long time to get settled. The amount of paperwork involved in making a claim is startling. First of all the solicitors handling your case will want to know every single detail about the entire situation surrounding your claim. You'll have to answer dozens of questions relating to your case which involves filling out huge questionnaires and then sending them to the lawyer. You will also have to go and visit a doctor, who will evaluate what sort of lasting effects your injury could have on you. By the time all of this initial work has been done you'll already be a couple of months into the process. The next bit can also take a particularly long time to resolve itself if one side doesn't accept liability for your injury. The lawyers will have to argue over who is liable and that will inevitably take a long time.
Once all that is complete the side to blame will probably offer an out of court settlement, and by this time you'll probably be likely to accept it just to be done with it. If you choose not to accept you will have to wait even longer to get a court date just so your case can be heard. The key to the entire process of making a claim surely must be patience then. With a bit of patience and determination, you just might get the compensation you deserve.
