There are exactly four specific ways to create gossip about you and your company though social media sites. Below are the four ways to do so!
Method 1: Freebies
I know you've probably heard numerous times about XYZ Company giving away this or that for free. For example, you might see a Starbucks coupon for a free coffee or a free kid’s meal between the hours of 4-6 at Ihop. In the past, giving out freebies was a sign of cheap brands, but today, freebies are the number one way of creating high demand of specific brands. With the way the economy is today, it's more popular to cut coupons and save money. Evidently, in 2009, customers clipped and used 3.3 billion coupons which was a 27% increase from 2008.
Business owners and marketing clients have begun to realize that if you supply extraordinary value, customers will jump in line and stand for hours for your company. Ultimately you may run out of supplies, but hey that's what you want, right?
Method 2: Share Yourself and Your Status
Prior to the high rise of internet popularity, the trendy thing to do was to keep your anonymity when sharing things about yourself and your ideas. However, today just the opposite is commonly popular. Everyone wants to be known and have their name, picture and BIO accessible to other internet users.
Furthermore, social media sites have made it a necessary trait to show that you have a great following, or "likes," "friends," etc. The more public your social status is, the more you prove to everyone that you're well-known and that you know what you're talking about.
The key here is to share, share and share, everyone wants to, and the more you do it, the better.
Method 3: Create a Shortage
One of the most strategic methods to get people to gossip about something is to make it almost unavailable. When Google first launched Gmail, it was an invite only e-mail account. Someone you knew or a friend of a friend had to send you the invitation to get an email account, and their account only included 5 invitations. This, of course, isn't true anymore today, but in the beginning, having an invite only site generated wise choices and developed limitless demand.
Were you one of the people that took to sleeping on a curb the night before Harry Potter was released? Even though it's widely available now, in the beginning only a selection of a few hundred people were the first to get their hands on the book.
Creating a shortage is easy. All you have to do is make less of what you have, not more, and then spread the word. Create a guest list, of people who really want to use your service, and possibly, offer only one product daily.
Method 4: Declare Something Rare
Yes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it can be a product, but it doesn't have to be. It can be information or knowledge of something specific. Anytime you'd like to create some talk about anything really, all you have to do is add that it's a rare or valuable tool. This could be anything that you'd generally keep as a secret. For example, products that may create jealousy, like the Black Platinum Centurion Diamond credit card or a dinner that only the elite partake of. It can even be knowledge that you've kept a secret about like a website that gives out free stuff.
It doesn't really matter if it is scarce or not, the fact is, if you say it's rare, people are going to want to know about it. Period.
So there you have it, four methods to create talk about you and/or your products and business. Try one out and see how it works for you.
