The Seattle Seahawks have traded guard Rob Sims to the Detroit Lions for defensive end Robert Henderson.,karen millen evening dresses

The deal was announced by the Seahawks on Monday. The teams also swapped draft picks with Seattle getting Detroit's fifth-round pick (133rd overall) in this month's draft, and the Lions getting the first of Seattle's two seventh-round picks (213th overall).

The Seahawks put a fourth-round tender on Sims as a restricted free agent, which he signed last week as talks with several teams were ongoing. Sources indicated to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora that the Lions, Bears and Eagles were all strongly in the mix.

Sims, a fourth-round draft pick by the Seahawks in 2006, has started 34 of 45 games, including 14 last season. However, his skill set is not best suited to the zone scheme Seattle is now using, which made him expendable.

Henderson was a sixth-round pick of the New York Giants in 2008 and signed with Detroit as a free agent. He spent the season on the Lions' practice squad.
