There are many traits and characteristics one could learn to become a success in life. We hear about them all of the time. Optimism, flexibility, awareness,Burberry Scarfs, developmental thinking, good communication and more.
One that we don't hear about to often, that I believe is equally important if not more vital, is the ability to be uncomfortable and take in feedback. When people give you feedback about what you're doing, chances are they aren't trained in the art of giving feedback in a way that the message gets across to the person in a very eloquent and non degrading kind of way. This can be achieved by doing specific things with physiology and tonality, but only if you're conscious of it!
Since not many people are conscious of it, or may not care, you'll kind of just get the raw deal. To truly get ahead, that is, learn from past experiences and better anything that needs work, feedback data is absolutely necessary. If you could somehow get yourself to LOVE feedback, and be ok with being intellectually uncomfortable, you'll make major breakthroughs.
Training in the minds of the elite, the people who will be the leaders in business, the leaders in industry and the leaders of the world, is the ability to process feedback data similar to a servo mechanism, in a manner congruent with hitting targets. Thanks for reading!
